LOUIS VUTTION<3 STEPHEN SPROUSE

Stephen Sprouse was a fashion designer and artist credited with pioneering the 198Os mix of "uptown sophistication in clothing with a downtown punk and pop sensiblity" He's best known for his sixty inspired graffiti printed fashion collections for both men and women.
The graffiti logo bags he designed in collaboration with Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton in 2001 made the fashion world take notice once again. The pieces sold-out instantly. For Fall 2006, Marc Jacobs utilized Sprouse's 1987 graffiti leopard images for handbags, shoes, and scarves for Louis Vuitton, which sold-out instantly once again. Now in 2009 Louis Vuttion is honoring Stephen Sprouse ,Marc Jacobs uses Sprouse's famous graffiti and rose prints to create a pop art collection of bags, footwear, and clothes. “It’s this idea of a head-to-toe look in this brash, neon, rock ’n’ roll, edgy, street-informed style," said Jacobs. Sprouse really best personified it.” Genuis Genuis Genuis! R.I.P Stephen Sprouse
